Wall vibrations and door pry attacks can be monitored at multiple separate locations. Currently 100ft between location is the max distance tested with reliable sensor signal. An additional AVIS is needed for tilt angle, door, temperature and humidity monitoring at separate locations. Back to the Top
It is recommended to place AVIS on a shelf that is level and stable. AVIS detects the door is open with the opto-electronic sensor located on the front of AVIS and should not be blocked. Facing the safe: If your door swings right, AVIS should be towards the left side of the safe. If your door swings left, AVIS should be towards the right side of the safe.. Back to the Top
The vibration sensor has a reliable detection area of a circle 2' in diameter with the sensor at the center. Back to the Top
It is recommended to use the supplied zip-tie to fasten the antenna sensor near the base of the antenna where the WiFi cable connects as seen here. Alongside or crossing over the WiFi cable is sufficient. The sensor has two neodymium magnets to enable other securing options. As long as the antenna sensor is disturbed or touched while an attempt to tamper with the annetna is made, then it will trigger. Back to the Top
There are several cases to consider but for most, the ideal spot to place the first vibration sensor is pictured here. Thieves will attack this spot because they know valuables are generally not stored right behind the door, half way up. Back to the Top
This depends on your router, the distance from AVIS to your router, and obstacles in between. AVIS is supplied with a quality external antenna for maximum range in any given case. Many customers have routers on the second floor towards the back of the house while the safe is in the front, in the garage. Back to the Top
If a pry attack doesn't start at a corner, it quickly ends up there. We recomend the first pry sensor to be placed as pictured here. It is a spot never avoided by a pry bar. Back to the Top
Three AA batteries are included. The battery powered version will last over a year on batteries with normal usage. The wall powered version has battery backup that will last at least six months with normal usage. Back to the Top
Yes AVIS is compatible with other AVIS units on the same network. During setup, you have the option to change the device name. It is advised to at least number the units to distinguish between alert locations. Back to the Top
For the most part, no. These sensors are harmonically tuned to detect certain frequencies and filter out others. AVIS has a proven track record of zero false alarms, and is engineered to instill total confidence. However we cannot guarentee against this in all cases. Back to the Top

AVIS is the most secure safe alarm on the market. There is no uplink to AVIS to hack, unlike other alarms. A WiFi camera's downlink can be hacked and viewed by anyone. AVIS only has a downlink open for a few seconds, once a week. The only information sent through that downlink is the temperature/humidity of your safe, and the battery life of AVIS. Back to the Top
